tokiyoStart drawing

Hi, I’m Jordan.

I built Tokiyo to help me practice poses. I hope you find it useful too.

While learning to draw, I was also browsing Are.na and Cosmos for inspiration. I wanted to use the images I found to practice poses. Those ideas came together as Tokiyo.

A place to put inspiration to use

Pick a collection and set a timer. You can use the references here or bring a public Are.na channel or Cosmos collection of your own. No account needed.

If you’re learning too, I hope this helps you get some practice in.

Why Tokiyo?

I love JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Tokiyo comes from DIO’s “Toki yo, tomare!”, meaning “Time, stop!” A fitting reference for a drawing timer, I thought.

Images & their makers

The ready-made collections use photographs from Pexels, with photographer credits and links to the source photographs. Imported collections come from public Are.na channels and Cosmos collections.

Source links let you return to the original photograph or collection item. Images belong to their respective creators; displaying a reference in Tokiyo does not grant ownership or permission to reuse it. Check the original source for its usage terms.

Tokiyo is an independent project, not an official product of these services.
